1. Who is responsible for your data

This Privacy Policy applies to the KitCal Medicine AI mobile app (“KitCal”, “the app”) for Android and iPhone/iPad, and to this website. The developer of KitCal Medicine AI is responsible for the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at support@kitcalmedicineai.com.

KitCal is intended for healthcare professionals and students. The use of the app is also governed by our Terms of Service and, on iPhone and iPad, by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).

2. Data we collect and why

  • Account: name, email address and user ID when you sign in with Google, Apple or email; also your subscription status and linked devices. Used to manage your access and your plan.
  • Usage and diagnostics: features you use, session duration and crash reports. Used to improve the app and fix errors.
  • Device: model, operating system, app version and language. Used for compatibility and to enforce the device limit of each plan.
  • Advertising (free version): advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android). You can reset it or turn off personalized ads in your device settings.
  • Location (optional): only if you allow it in the altitude-adjusted hemoglobin calculator. The coordinates are used only at that moment to obtain the altitude of your area.
  • Content you publish: ratings, comments and photos of healthcare facilities.
  • AI queries: the text you type in AI features, used to generate the answer.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not collect patient data, and we ask you not to enter it.

This website does not use advertising cookies. It may use technical browser storage so that pages work correctly.

3. Artificial intelligence features

Some features, such as the ICD diagnosis search and smart search, use artificial intelligence models. To answer, the text you type is sent through our server to AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic and DeepSeek).

  • Do not enter information that identifies a patient: names, ID numbers, medical record numbers, addresses or photos.
  • AI answers may be incomplete or incorrect. They are a guide, not a clinical recommendation.

4. Payments and subscriptions

Premium subscriptions are auto-renewable and are purchased through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google). These stores process the payment; KitCal does not receive or store your card details, only the confirmation of the transaction and your subscription status, verified through RevenueCat.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account or in Google Play.

5. Third-party services

To work, KitCal uses the following providers, each with its own privacy policy:

  • Google: Firebase (authentication, database, Analytics and Crashlytics), AdMob, Google Play Billing and Sign in with Google. Google Privacy Policy.
  • Apple: App Store, in-app purchases and Sign in with Apple. Apple Privacy Policy.
  • RevenueCat: verification and management of subscription status. RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
  • Cloudflare: servers and databases of the app.
  • OpenAI, Anthropic and DeepSeek: artificial intelligence models.
  • OpenTopoData: altitude lookup from coordinates, only if you allow location access.

6. Security and data retention

We apply technical and organizational measures to protect your data: encrypted connections, secure authentication and restricted access to our systems. Payment data is handled by Apple or Google under their own security standards.

We keep your account data while your account is active. If you delete it, we delete or anonymize your personal data, except data we must keep by law or to resolve disputes.

7. Your rights and account deletion

Depending on the law of your country, for example the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union or Law No. 29733 in Peru, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data and obtain a copy.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Object to certain uses or withdraw your consent.
  • File a complaint with the data protection authority of your country.

Delete your account: in the app, go to Settings → Delete account, or email support@kitcalmedicineai.com. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription with Apple or Google: cancel it in the store as well to avoid further charges.

8. Children

KitCal is not intended for children under 16. If we detect an account belonging to a person under that age, we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the app or in the law. We will publish the new version on this page with its update date and, if the change is significant, we will notify you in the app.

10. Contact

  • Email: support@kitcalmedicineai.com
  • In the app: Report a problem option.
  • Response time: up to 48 business hours.
